Ellery Lake Overview
Ellery Lake (aka Ellery Camp) Campground is a first-come, first-serve campground situated at the top of Tioga pass (9,500 feet) next to the east entrance of Yosemite National Park. The campground overlooks Lee Vining Creek and is very close to Ellery Lake.
The 14 campsites are best for tent camping but a few sites can fit small trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Amenities include drinking water and 2 vault toilets. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate. Campsite roads and parking spurs are also paved. There are no showers available or electric/water hookups for trailers. Cell service is poor in the area. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host.
Area Recreation & Activities
The area offers great fishing, backpacking, hiking, picnicking, biking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Moraine, Big Bend, Aspen (Aspen Grove), Junction, Saddlebag Lake and Tioga Lake.
