Fishermans Group Overview

Fisherman’s Group Campground has 4 separate group sites nestled in a scenic forest on the banks of Deep Creek. Access is by hiking in a 2.5 mile trail to the campground. There is no vehicle access to the campground. Tent camping for groups up to 8 people per site and campers must pack out what they pack in. Horses are permitted, however no corrals or water are available.

Designated parking area capacity is for 8 vehicles. Each vehicle must display reservation confirmation on vehicle windshield at the designated parking area.

Amenities include vault toilets. One bear-proof food storage locker is also available to share among all three campsites. There is no water or trash collection.  Each group site also has tables, pedestal grills and a campfire circle. Cell service is poor in the area.

Other campgrounds nearby include Green Valley (Lake) and Crab Flats.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hunting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, stargazing and wildlife viewing. Fishing is also available (within 10 miles).
