Forest Glen Overview

Forest Glen Campground has 15 single-family campsites and is next to the South Fork of the Trinity River at 2,300 feet in elevation. All campsites are first-come, first-serve and have nice shade from tall conifers.  The forest fires of 2020 came close, but did not reach the campground.

Campsites can accommodate tents, RVs and trailers (up to 16 feet).  Several are right along the river. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection.  Cell service is poor in the area.

Hells Gate Campground is also just a mile away.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, kayaking, rafting, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
