Forks Overview

Forks Campground 002

Forks Campground has 26 single-family campsites and is located at 7,800 feet in elevation near the junction of the South Fork and the Middle Fork of Bishop Creek. Most of the campsites are set among aspen and pine trees and a few sites (18-22) are next to Bishop Creek.  Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill.

Amenities include potable (drinking water), vault and flush toilets. There are no hookups. Pets are okay, but must be on a leash. Firewood is available for sale from the campground host. Cell service is not available.

Forks Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor activities include hiking, fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, OHV riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  In regards to wildlife viewing, this is an active bear area so please keep that food stored properly.

Other campgrounds in the area include Four JeffreyBishop Park, Bitterbrush, Big Trees and Sabrina.

    Are the campgrounds open planning on the 5th to the 9th of August. Love the site and would like to know if it is open?

    Hello. I was hoping to camp at Forks in a couple weeks and on recreation.gov, it appears that there are many sites available to reserve. However, the usda.gov link for this campground says reservations are not allowed. Can you please clarify?

    Been here before and I want too go again and am looking to stay on one of the camp sites next too the creek which number are those sites, it won’t show me in the website
