Grasshopper Flat Overview

Grasshopper Flat 033

Lake Davis has 4,000-acre feet and 32 miles of shoreline for visitors to enjoy. On the water recreation includes boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking swimming and other water sports.  On the land you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, hunting and wildlife viewing.  The winter months are also popular for ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

  1. Nichole Cook says:

My family visited the campground for Labor Day weekend. We arrived in Saturday and was impressed by the size of the campsites. There’s Lots of shade and the lake is within walking distance. As soon as it started to get dark, we started getting invaded by flying insects. We used special candles and bug spray and nothing helped. I have NEVER seen this many bugs in my life. They were so aggressive, flying right at our faces. Our table was covered in them. We went to the bathroom and there were so many of them we couldn’t open the door to the bathroom. They were inside our tents, all over our clothes. By morning time, they weren’t as bad but there were piles (not an exaggeration) of dead insects by the bathroom. When we tried to use the bathroom, the walls, sink, and toilets were covered in them. We ended up cutting our trip short, which is upsetting because we paid for 2 campsites for 2 nights in advance. I will NEVER go back there! The only reason I gave them 1 1/2 stars is because of the size and besides the bugs it was beautiful.
