Gull Lake Campground Inyo National Forest California

Gull Lake Overview

Gull Lake Campground 005

Gull Lake Campground is located at the southern end of Gull Lake and has 11 campsites for RVs, trailers and tents.   The campground generally opens in late April and closes early October (weather permitting). Campsites can accommodate tents, small trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Sites 7-11 are waterfront.

The small and quiet campground stretches out along the southern end of Gull Lake. It is also about a mile from the town of June Lake.  Some camp sites are at the water’s edge and all have some view of the lake. The thick vegetation between camp sites provide good privacy.  The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, access to hiking trails and shore fishing. There is also a small ramp for paddle boats next to the campground and a larger ramp for motor boats about 1/4 mile away. Pets are okay if kept on a leash. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, grill and food storage locker.

Gull Lake – Area Recreation

Outdoor activities include boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, hiking, backpacking, picnicking, exploring the historic sites in the area and wildlife viewing. The town of June Lake is also within a mile and has shops and restaurants.

Other campgrounds in the area include Oh Ridge, Reversed Creek, Silver Lake and June Lake.
