Hope Valley Campground has 21 campsites and is located in a spectacular alpine valley near the West Fork Carson River. Great fishing and hiking opportunities are also in the area.

The campground is usually open mid-May through mid-September. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (18 to 45 feet). A few campsites are double campsites (sites 6, 10, 14, 16, 18 and 21). The double sites can have up to 4 vehicles and 12 people. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Some cell coverage is available. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. South Lake Tahoe is also just 40 miles away.

Other campgrounds in the area include Woods Lake and Caples Lake.
