Humboldt Redwoods State Park Albee Creek Comments & Reviews

This campground is AMAZING! That said, it’s not an easy place to access. For one thing, the road in is long (but easily one of the most beautiful drives you’ll do in redwood country), rough, and in many long stretches, just one lane. I wouldn’t bring a big trailer or RV on this road, you’ll be sorry if you do, and there won’t be any place to turn around.
Okay, on to the campground. The criteria I use to asses a site are the following: I have a 25-foot RV, so the site has to accommodate that and be level enough that I won’t have to put stilts in to get my RV to level. Also, I don’t want to be right next to a restroom because, for one thing, I have one, and for another, I don’t want a ton of foot traffic nearby. Also, it has to be private with no close neighbors. And last but not least, it must be scenic. That said, here’s my list…Good sites [1, 2, 12, 13, 15, 18, 24, 29, 32], and the best site [33]. Note that sites 1, 2, and 3 are out in the open (no, or little shade).
