Hidden Springs Campground has 154 campsites in a mixed forest close to the Eel River in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, and hot showers ($).
The campground also offers a nice basecamp to access the river, hiking and mountain biking trails. The river is also popular for fishing and has some nice swimming holes.
Humboldt Redwoods State Park is located along the Eel River in northern California and features some of the best ancient redwood groves on the planet. In all, there are approximately 17,000 acres of old-growth coastal redwoods in the 53,000 acre park. Visitors can hike, bike and explore the many trails, as well as drive the 32 mile Avenue of the Giants. Other outdoor recreation includes kayaking, canoeing, swimming, picnicking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.
Albee Creek (41 campsites) and Burlington (57 campsites) are two other campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
