Jackson Flat Group Overview

Jackson Flat Group Campground has 5 group tent-only camping areas set among a grove of pine and fir trees at 7,500 feet in elevation.

Campsites are a short walk of about 200 yards from the parking area.

Sites 1, 2 and 3 have a maximum capacity of 40 people. These sites have 3 long group picnic tables, 1 picnic table (food prep), 3 bear-proof food storage lockers, 1 large barbeque grill, a group fire ring and 1 permanent trash can. Drinking water (spigot) is also available.

Sites 4 and 5 have a maximum capacity of 30 people. These sites have 2 long group picnic tables, 1 picnic table (food prep), 2 bear-proof food storage lockers, 1 large barbeque grill, a group fire ring and 1 permanent trash can. Drinking water (spigot) is also available.

Other amenities include 3 restroom buildings with flush toilets and 2 large gathering areas with a central fire pit in each area.  Cell service reception is poor in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Table Mountain and Lake.
