Jones Fork Campground has 10 first-come, first-serve campsites and is located next to Union Valley Reservoir in Eldorado National Forest.
The campground is generally open late May to mid-October. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Drinking water is not available (so bring your own). Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (parking spurs 25 to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill. The nearest dump station is at Sunset campground.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, water sports, swimming, fishing, hiking, hunting, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The area is also part of the Eldorado National Forest, which is home to the famed gold mining territory of the 1800s. Remnants of the California Gold Rush days can be found throughout the region.
Other campgrounds in the area include Yellowjacket, Fashoda, Wench Creek and Wolf Creek. You might also like Ice House or Wrights Lake.

Hi! Looking to stay at this campsite soon. Wondering if you had any recommendations for the most private site? We’ve got a baby and would like to be mindful of our neighbors in case baby decides to cry instead of sleep at night lol.
Jones Fork campsites also have a good amount of room between neighbors but these are probably the most private: 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8.
