Junction City Overview

Junction City 018

Junction City Campground has 21 campsites and is located in a forested area near the Wild & Scenic Trinity River. All sites are first-come, first-serve.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include paved roads/parking spurs, potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is poor in the area. FREE firewood is also available.

Other campgrounds in the area include Douglas City, Pigeon Point and Hayden Flat.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, rafting, tubing, kayaking, swimming, mountain biking, hunting, horseback riding, picnicking, gold panning and wildlife viewing. The river can be accessed from many locations along this stretch of the Trinity River.
