Lake Campground Angeles National Forest California
Lake Overview
Lake Campground has 8 campsites and is on the shores of scenic Jackson Lake, just a short drive northeast of the Los Angeles metro area. At about 6,100 feet in elevation, the campground offers a great escape from the summer heat.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a parking spur (ranging in size from 3o to 48 feet), a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water (summer months), vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available in the area.
Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation includes canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, stargazing and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also good with opportunities to see bobcats, mountain lions, bears and bighorn sheep.
Other campgrounds in the area include Jackson Flats Group, Table Mountain, Apple Tree, Mountain Oak and Peavine.
