Lake Alpine West Shore Overview

Lake Alpine West Shore Campground has 24 single-family campsites and is located at the north end of Lake Alpine in the Stanislaus National Forest. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (from 30 to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. You can have up to 6 people, 3 tents and 2 vehicles per site.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets. Hot showers, laundry facilities, a store and restaurant are also available at nearby Lake Alpine Resort. The Resort also sells firewood, ice, food and camping/fishing supplies. Cell service is not available.

Lake Alpine West Shore – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. A paved bike path also swings by the campground. In the winter, visitors can also enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Horseback riding and OHVing are also popular activities in the area. Boat rentals are available at Lake Alpine Resort.

Other campgrounds in the area include Lake Alpine Silver Valley, Pine Marten, Silver Tip and Lodgepole Group.
