Lake Casitas Recreation Area has 13 campgrounds and over 400 campsites (136 with hookups) that are situated around the lake. A few group camping areas are also available including Lake Side Group, Trout Group and Pollywog Group.
Some campsites are lakeside and others are nearby or up on a hillside with dandy views of the lake. Hookups are available at some campsites and each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, vault toilets, hot showers (tokens purchased from a machine) and an RV dump station. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host or at the camp store.
The recreation area also has a marina, cafe, water park, 2 boat ramps, bike rentals, boat rentals, boat & trailer storage area, overflow parking, picnic area, playgrounds and hiking trails. There’s also a world-class model airplane airstrip/flying area.
Lake Casistas is a “no body contact” lake. There is no swimming, wading or getting in the water. You can boat, fish, canoe and kayak. Other activities include hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Hello I called camping reservations Fri, July 5, 3 times starting at 8:30am held on approx 18 mins each time & was cut off each time.
Hi Demetria,
Not sure what the issue is with the Casitas Municipal Water District Reservation phone line. It might not be very well staffed over the holiday weekend. They do offer online reservations for Lake Casitas Recreation Area: https://reservations.casitaswater.org/
