Lake Forest Campground is a municipal campground located in Tahoe City, CA. The campground has 20 single family campsites available on a first-come first-serve basis. Be advised, that we don’t give this campground very high marks. Most campsites are small, primitive and not well maintained. We didn’t see any restrooms at the campground, but they probably bring in vault toilets during the high-season. There’s also a little league/soccer field next door. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. The largest campsite will fit an RV or trailer up to 25 feet.
There’s a ton of outdoor recreation in the North Tahoe area including boating, fishing, swimming, water sports, winter sports, hiking, biking, backpacking and wildlife viewing.
Silver Creek (Truckee), Tahoe SRA and William Kent campgrounds are also in the area.
