You couldn’t get out of your vehicle to get shots of the actual campsites? Really? Pictures of parking spots. Superb.
Hi Cornelius,
I think you’re right – that we need to retake the photos of Lake George campsites. I know the photographer was walking and tried to get the parking spur and as much of the camping area in the site, but I’m with you – we need to show more of the camping area. We will get it done this fall!
It’s helpful to see the parking spurs! Please keep those in. For folks with any type of RV (truck, pop-up, trailer, etc), we like to see if the driveway is level, rutted, next to someone else’s driveway, or even if it looks like a parking lot (like Lake Mary and Lake George do – thanks for the photos so we can see that!). But I agree that seeing the camping site would be useful as well.
Is there a way to add 2 pics per site? One of the parking spur and one of the tent/firepit/table area? I know – that’s asking a lot. 🙂
PS Thanks for all the pics for all the campgrounds you cover. I come to this website often. So helpful, and many times (98% of the time), your pics are better and more comprehensive than the recreation-got-gov images, and that’s if they have any on their site.
Hi Maria,
Thanks for the kind words and suggestion to get 2 pictures – one for parking spur and other for the camping area. I like that idea and we will try and do that in the future! And glad our website/photos help with your camping adventures. Our #1 goal is to provide high-quality / current and accurate photos of each campsite.
