  1. you need to show more pictures and information about the equestrian sites… can’t find good pictures or info showing showers, etc.

    • Hi Lee,
Agreed. We have not done a good job at getting photos of the equestrian campsites. I’ll try and schedule a photographer to get those at Loafer Creek, and we will do so at other campgrounds moving forward.

  2. Kathy Lord says:

I am looking for information regarding Loafer Creek Horse camp sites. I spoke with someone and was unable to confirm if the horse sites have corrals already available? The Equestrian Camp Highlights indicate that there are “corrals for every campsite and plenty of space to organize rides.” Can someone please advise if there are indeed portable horse corrals available? How many per site? Thank you.

    • Hi Kathy,
The Loafer Creek Horse Camp has 15 campsites (sorry no photos), and each has a corral, tethering, feeding stations, campsite table, fire ring and grate.  There is also a horse washing facility. You can go to Google Maps and insert these coordinates to get an idea: 39.522583, -121.455135

      • Kathy Lord says:

Thank you for the info on the horse campsites! We are booked at the end of the month. Sounds like there is one corral per site? We will be bringing two horses per site and can’t put them together in one corral. Just trying to figure out how many portable corrals to bring. Thank you and looking forward to our stay!

    • Pam Higgins says:

Hi Kathy! There are two corrals at each camp site that are side by side. Some spots accommodate 2 rigs…ie site 12.

  3. Brenda W says:

Hello , is there camp spots right on the lake ?

  4. Daynn Miller says:

This place is a joke. We reserved on line and it said that there are fire rings in each campsite, And grills. while this is true, nowhere was it stated that at this time no camp fires are allowed, even in their designated areas, but were also told when we arrived that we couldn’t use charcoal to cook. Isn’t that something they should tell you e before you come. And then, to top it all off’ it is 108 degrees today, and they tell us, (after we arrived) that there is “NO SWIMMING AT THIS TIME”. Needless to say, we won’t be staying the 2 nights we paid for. And we will make sure to let everyone we know, THAT LOAFER CREEK IS NOT THE PLACE TO CAMP. EVER!!!!!
