Leavis Flat Overview

Leavis Flat 004

Leavis Flat Campground has 9 single-family campsites and is located along Deer Creek in the Giant Sequoia National Monument near California Hot Springs. Some of the campsites are right next to the creek. Volunteers from the community maintain the campground and do a great job at keeping it nice.  All sites are first-come, first-serve.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs (up to 16 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include vault toilets. Water is not available.

Leavis Flat – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, hunting, OHV Riding and horseback riding. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.

If you’re heading further up the mountain, you may also like Redwood Meadow Campground.
