Lightning Tree Campground Plumas National Forest California

Lightning Tree Overview

Lightning Tree 032

Lightning Tree Campground is located in the Plumas National Forest on Lake Davis and has 40 sites for tents, trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. There are many larger sites (many doubles) and 3 pull through sites (30, 34 and 36). Chances are your site will have some nice shade from the towering pines trees throughout the campground.  Quite a few sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there are about 40 overflow campsites near the boat ramp at Mallard Cove.

The campground has drinking water and vault toilets. There are no showers, but you can grab one over at Grasshopper Flat campground. There is also a sanitation dump station is about 1/4 mile from Grasshopper Flat. Campers can stay up to 14 days. There’s a 2 vehicle and 6 person limit per campsite. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground.
