Lost Claim Overview

Lost Claim Campground has 10 campsites and is located just off Highway 120 in the Stanislaus National Forest.

Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, food locker, fire ring and grate. Campsites generally have some nice room in between other sites. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. It’s also within striking distance of Yosemite National park (about 17 miles from west entrance and Hodgdon Meadow Campground). Sweetwater Campground and Pines Campground are also about 3 miles away.
