Lundy Canyon Campground has 36 single-family campsites set among beautiful Aspen Groves lining the banks of Mill Creek. All campsites are first-come, first-serve and most have good privacy. Due to its remote location campsite fees are collected in cash only by the camp host.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 35 feet). Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Many also have bear boxes for food storage. Amenities include pit toilets and trash collection. There is not any potable (drinking) water.
Lundy Canyon is home to the May Lundy Mine (1880s) spectacular cascading waterfalls and an abundance of wildflowers. Mill Creek also offers decent fishing at certain times of the year. Hiking and backpacking are also popular on the Lundy Canyon Trail (permits needed for overnight). The trailhead is about 2 miles beyond Lundy Lake Resort. Other activities include picnicking and wildlife viewing. Nearby Mono Lake also offers some great photography, kayaking and swimming (if you don’t mind getting a little salty).
You may also like the campgrounds along Lee Vining Creek: Lower Lee Vining, Moriane, Aspen Grove and Big Bend.
