Lupine Campground has 51 single-family campsites (12 tent-only) and is located near Bass Lake and adjacent to Cedar Bluff campground. Lupine is set back from the main road and offers more privacy among large Ponderosa pines. The terrain includes rolling oak-covered foothills, heavily forested middle elevation slopes and the starkly beautiful alpine landscape of the High Sierra.
Campground amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Picnic areas and a boat ramp are also nearby. Pets are okay (on leash in campground) and no more than 2 pets per campsite.
Bass Lake offers plenty of outdoor fun including boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, sailing and swimming. There is a boat ramp, marina and various stores at the lake. Boat rentals area also available. You can also hike on many of the nearby trails, picnic, mountain bike, and see a variety of wildlife. Nearby hiking trails include Willow Creek, Goat Mountain, Spring Cove and Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail. A variety of educational programs are offered on weekends during the summer. And of course Yosemite National Park is about an hour drive from the campground.
Other campgrounds in the area include Wishon Point, Spring Cove, Recreation Point Group, Cedar Bluff and Forks.

My husband and I stayed on a Friday thru Monday at Lupine campground. It’s a well maintained campground and we enjoyed our stay with the exception of the “quiet time” hours not being enforced. A group of 18-24 year olds set up camp next to ours on Saturday night and were extremely loud and vulgar the entire night. And I do mean the ENTIRE night. They also helped themselves to items in our cooler at one point when we were away from our site. We loved Bass Lake, but would probably choose a different campground next time only because of that experience.
we’ve been camping at Lupine for about 15 years. It’s our favorite get-away.
No problems with the campsite in general, super friendly rangers! Just be aware that there is a lot of poison oak in the wooded areas behind and to the sides of sites 81 & 82. Others too I’m sure.
What about pets
