Merrill Campground has 169 campsites and is located in the Eagle Lake Recreation Area of the Lassen National Forest. This is a RV park type of campground with 57 full hook-ups, 64 partial hook-ups and 51 standard sites (no hook-ups). All electric hook-up sites have 20, 30 and 50 amp hookups. All parking spurs are at least 45 feet, but most range from 55 to 75 feet. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campsites 15-42 and 57-75 are designated walk-in sites (no reservations),the other 125 are reservable.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and limited WiFi. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host.  An RV Dump station is located just outside the campground with a $5 dump fee. The Eagle Lake Marina store also has gas, prpane, fishing and camping supplies, rental boats, shower and laundry facilities. You can also dine at the South Shore Grill if you want a pass on camp food.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, water sports, sailing, paddleboarding, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Aspen Grove, Christie, Rocky Point East and Rocky Point West

  1. Great campground! Bike trail, easy lake access, clean bathrooms, marina nearby and you can keep your boat at the water’s edge in the campground.
