Middle Fork Cosumnes Overview

Middle Fork Cosumnes Campground is right next to the beautiful Cosumnes River and has 19 campsites in a heavily forested area of Eldorado National Forest. All of the 19 sites are first-come, first-serve and best suited for tent camping. Several sites will also work for trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet).  Campsites #13 and #14 are double-family sites.

Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection (mid-May to mid-October).  Drinking water is not available but you can filter water from the nearby river. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.  Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, OHV trail riding, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

You might also like the campgrounds over at Lower Bear River Reservoir: South Shore, Pardoes Point, Sugar Pine Point and Bear River Group.
