Minersville Campground has 14 campsites and is located on the shores of Trinity Lake in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The campground is open year-round, with reservations accepted from May 1 to October 31.
The first section of the campground is well developed with paved, level parking aprons and amenities. The second section is mostly walk-in (sites 10 to 14 / ranging from 100-200 feet), with good privacy between campsites, and more primitive with a wilderness feel. This section also features campsites next to the water’s edge. Most sites in both sections have views of Trinity Lake. Double campsites include 3, 6 and 7.
Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Water is not available. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 36 feet). Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Cell service is not available in the area. A boat ramp is also about a mile away.
Other campgrounds in the area include Alpine View, Hayward Flat, Ackerman, Cooper Gulch, Tannery, Stoney Point and Bushytail.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The historic town of Lewiston is also just a few miles away.
