Pine Grove Overview
Pine Grove Campground has 10 campsites and is located in the Inyo National Forest just below Rock Creek Lake among a tall grove of Jeffrey Pines. This campground is way up in the Sierra Nevada (9,300 feet) and is typically open in early June through September. The season may be shorter due to snow.
The campground is first-come, first-serve (no reservations). Amenities include drinking water and a vault toilet. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, grill and food storage locker. Cell service is not available in the area.
Pine Grove – Area Recreation
Recreational activities include fishing, hiking, backpacking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Upper Pine Grove, Big Meadow, Iris Meadow, Palisade, East Fork, and Rock Creek Lake. Rock Creek Lakes Resort is also nearby.
