Pines – Stanislaus Overview

The Pines Group Parking Lot View

Pines Campground (aka “The Pines”) is located 15 miles from Yosemite National Park and has 12 single-family campsites and 1 (reservable) group campsite. The single-family campsites are first-come, first-serve. The group site is tent-only and can accommodate up to 50 people.

The campground is open year round and is an ideal base camp for visitors to explore not only Yosemite, but also the fantastic wilderness areas within Stanislaus National Forest. The Tuolumne River is also nearby.

Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, swimming, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great.

Other campgrounds nearby include Lost Claim and Sweetwater.
