Pioneer Point Campground sits on a dandy knoll overlooking Lake Isabella and has 78 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Several sites have sweeping lake views. There’s a bit more shade here than Boulder Gulch campground. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, a dump station and a playground that will delight the kids for hours on end. Each campsite also has a sturdy table, fire ring and grate.
Pioneer Point Campgrounds is within a mile from the lake, but it’s probably best to drive to one of the parking areas. Nearby towns of Lake Isabella, Wofford Heights and Kernville have plenty of stores, shops and restaurants. Cell service is good in the area.
Lake Isabella and Sequoia National Forest offers more outdoor recreation activities than you could count on one hand. There’s hiking, world-class mountain biking, incredible river rafting and kayaking on the Lower and Upper Kern Rivers. Lake Isabella also has a lot of water sports to enjoy like boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing and windsurfing. Wildlife viewing can also be nice in the area. There’s also a spectacular grove of giant sequoia trees about 40 miles away.
Other Lake Isabella area campgrounds include Camp 9, Boulder Gulch, Hungry Gulch, Tillie Creek, Live Oak South, Live Oak North, and Paradise Cove.

Very disappointing, management personnel was very rude and unprofessional. The campground is nice but I would not go back or recommend it. The person in charged kept disturbing us every 30 minutes trying to find something to say about the campground rules.
