Porcupine Flat campground has 52 single-family campsites best suited for tents and is about an hour and 15 minutes north of Yosemite Valley (off Highway 120). Group camping is also available. Most campsites are on the small side and the camp roads are pretty narrow so trailers & RVs are not recommended. Parking spurs range in size from 15 to 22 feet.

Campground amenities include vault toilets and stream water (boil, filter or use iodine to treat). No potable water available. Each campsite also has a table, food locker (33″ deep x 45″ wide x 18″ high) and fire ring. Group campsites also have food lockers. Accessible campsites include 16 and 17.

Porcupine Flat – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, fishing, mountain biking, backpacking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. World famous Yosemite National Park offers spectacular scenery and amazing outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, kayaking, photography, climbing, horseback riding, nature exhibits, museums, camping and wildlife viewing.

Other Yosemite campgrounds in the area include Yosemite Creek and White Wolf.
