Portola Redwoods State Park Campground has 53 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs (up to 24 feet). There are also four walk-in sites and other group campsites available. The campground is open from April through October, but the park is open year round. There are no RV hookups at the campground, but it does have a campfire center, drinking water, flush toilets and showers. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate.
The main attraction are those amazing coastal redwood giants, but you’ll also see some amazing Douglas fir and live oak. The park has one of the tallest redwoods (over 300 feet high) in the Santa Cruz Mountains. There are ten miles of trails that meander over streams, through canyons and meadows. Outdoor activities include camping, hiking, biking, picnicking, swimming, geocaching, and visit the museums and historical sites.
Big Basin Redwoods State Park is open for day use and is about an hour’s drive from Portola. You might also like Rancho del Oso Campground, Memorial Park or Butano State Park.

Cool
Site 2 is really bad! It is on a slope and it doesn’t matter where you put your tent you will slide down!!!
