Potwisha campground in Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park has 42 campsites set among oak trees along the Marble Fork of the Kaweah River. The Middle Fork of the Kaweah River is also across the highway (about 1/4 mile from campground). Ptowisha campground has drinking water, flush toilets and an amphitheater. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Each campsite has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate. A dump station is also located across the highway from the campground. The campground is four miles from the main entrance to the Park.
Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park is most famous for its Giant Sequoia trees, including the General Sherman tree, the largest tree on Earth. The Giant Forest is connected by the park’s Generals Highway to Kings Canyon National Park’s Grant Grove. Potwisha is also right along the Generals Highway.
Oudoor recreation in the Potwisha area includes fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
