  1. Hi,

We are a group of 18 adults and kids and we would like to hopefully get at lest 3 camp spots on July 25. What are our chances?
    Thank you

    • Hi Milla,
Reds Meadow campground is popular through the summer and even though you’re looking for a Monday night stay, it may be touch to find 3 campsites available. I’d say your chances are fair (50/50). Best of luck and hope it works out for you!

    Hello
Plan to camp here in 2023.
I only have to tell the ranger at entrance that I want to camp here
and the ranger will let me drive in ?

    • Hi James,
That is correct. All campsites at Reds Meadow Campground are first-come, first-serve. You will check-in/register with the ranger upon arrival. Keep in mind that is it a popular campground during the summer and it’d be best to arrive mid week if you can.

Hi, we’ve been camping at Red’s Meadow for over 30 years. In fact that is us in #7 with the red truck, in your photos of your campsite! We’ve given up tent camping since we are older now, so is there a way to have a RV placed on a camp spot? I remember seeing other campers do this, but I can’t find how to order one. Thanks!

    • Hi Barbara,
That is pretty cool that your red truck is in the photos of campsite #7 at Reds Meadow!
Adventure in Camping is at least one company that will rent and deliver an RV/trailer to a campsite in the Mammoth Lakes area. You can click on the link or call them at 760-935-4890 to confirm where they can deliver.

      • Barbara Kaufmann says:

Thanks so much! We called them and they are not delivering RV’s to Red’s Meadow this year because of the road condition. We will keep them in mind for next year. I have another question: do you know when the Red’s Meadow campground closes?

      • You are welcome Barbara!
I don’t know a specific closing date, but Red Meadow’s campground usually is open through September. Sometimes it closes earlier due to weather. You could try calling the Inyo National Forest office to see if they have an exact date: 760-873-2400
