Rose Valley Campground has 9 single-family campsites with views of scenic chaparral covered mountains in Los Padres National Forest. It’s also near a small lake and the Rose Valley Falls trailhead.
Campsites are on the small side, but can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 20 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include one vault toilet. Water is not available, so bring your own. Cell service is also not available.
The popular Rose Valley Falls trail begins from the campground and is a short 1/2 mile to the base of the pretty waterfalls. Other hiking trails (Piedra Blanca, Sespe River) are also nearby. Upper Rose Lake is a short walk from the campground and has nice/clear water to take a swim. Lower Rose Lake is about 1/2 mile away and has some decent fishing. Other outdoor recreation includes mountain biking, horseback riding, OHV riding, fishing, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing. The quaint town of Ojai is also a short drive from the campground.
You may also like Wheeler Gorge campground. Other campgrounds in the area include Middle Lion, Reyes Peak, Pine Mountain, Reyes Creek, Mt. Pinos and Mcgill.
