Saddleback Butte State Park Campground has 40 campsites and most have shade shelters. There are no hookups available. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. The campground could use some TLC though as some shelters are in a bit of disrepair. Group camping is available by reservation.
Amenities include nice modern restroom, drinking water, campfire center, RV dump station and visitor center. Firewood is also available for sale at the Park.
Saddleback Butte State Park is located in the high-desert area near Lancaster, California and closer to the town of Lake Los Angeles. The Park was established in 1960 to preserve its high-desert Joshua tree woodland. From the campground you’ll enjoy nice views of the 3,651 Saddleback Butte and can explore the desert area on mixed-use trails. Visitors can also enjoy clear nights are clear for stargazing and wildflowers in the spring.
Red Rock Canyon State Park is just 37 miles to the west. It has 50 first-come first-served campsites.
