San Gorgonio campground has 54 spacious campsites at an elevation 6,500 feet in the San Bernardino National Forest. Nine of the campsites (4, 6, 10, 15, 33, 41, 45 and 48) are ‘double sites’ which can accommodate up to 2 vehicles and 16 campers. All sites are reservable and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate.
The campground is composed of two loops – Cedar and Shady Oak. Campsites in the Shady Oak loop have more shade, but tend to be close together providing little privacy. You’ll find more privacy in the Cedar Loop campsites because they are more widely spaced.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($) and trash collection. There is no RV dump station or hookups at the campground. No campfires or charcoal fires, only camp stoves allowed for cooking. Firewood is also available for sale from the campground host. Limited groceries are available at Angelus Oak, CA, west of campground on State Rt. 38. Cell service is fair in the area.
Outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Fishing is also available in the nearby Santa Ana River and Jenks Lake. The campground is also close to the Barton Flats Visitor Center and Greyback Amphitheater.
Other campgrounds in the area include South Fork, Barton Flats and Heart Bar.

One super campground with lots to see lots to do. Bring your own kayak for a day full of adventure… unfortunately no swimming at the local lake. But fishing and lots of nature to explore and enjoy amongst family and friends! Don’t forget to bring your camera as there lots of large to small subjects to photograph… it could be one additional activity to enjoy with the family… never know… you may have an artist in your family.. we always share the best pictures and have a grand prize within the family. Such as a free movie day with friends give card or something fun for all to enjoying. Happy Camping!!!
Can’t have music. The female camp host came and pretty much threatened us because of our music. She said “if I have to come back”. It’s our first and last time here. When we leave I will be getting her name and filing a complaint. Don’t come here.
What do you need music for? I’m glad she told you to shut it off. Enjoy the nature.
I’m glad you’re not coming back too. Find some place noisy to party.
Yes, please stay away. No one should force their music onto others out in the nature.
