Scott Mountain Campground SHASTA-TRINITY NATIONAL FOREST California

Scott Mountain Overview

Scott Mountain Campground has 7 campsites (best for tent camping) and in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest at an elevation of 5,400 feet. The campground is open year round (first-come, first-serve) and is also next to the Pacific Crest Trail. A few creeks are also in the area.

Campsites are best suited for tent or car camping (up to 15 feet). Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Cell service is poor in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Trinity River, Hidden Horse, Trail Creek and East Fork.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, fishing, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
