Shirttail Creek Campground has 29 campsites and is located on the northwest shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir in a cedar and pine forest. Some campsites overlook the reservoir and there are a few double campsites available.
The nicely maintained campground is generally open late April through October. Amenities include drinking water (spigot), trash collection and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (3o to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, bear box, fire ring and grill. Cell service is not available. A boat ramp is available across the lake at Sugar Pines.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, water sports, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding and wildlife viewing. The Manzanita Day Use area is also nearby and next to the lake.
Other campgrounds in the area include Giant Gap, Forbes Creek (Group) and Big Reservoir.
