South Fork Family Campground has 24 campsites and is located in a pine/fir forest near the Santa Ana River. The campground is also just off Highway 38 between Angelus Oaks and Big Bear Lake.  All campsites are first-come, first-serve.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is poor in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents and small trailers/RVs. Each site also has a table, food storage locker and fire ring.

Seven of the campsites are walk-to (tent-only). These include sites 23, 24,2 5, 26, 27, 28 and 29. The walk ranges from 20 to 100 feet to the camping areas.

Other campgrounds in the area include San Gorgonio, Barton Flats and Heart Bar.

South Fork Family Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Fishing is available in the nearby Santa Ana River and Jenks Lake. The campground is also close to the Barton Flats Visitor Center and Greyback Amphitheater.
