Spicer Reservoir Campground (aka Spicer Meadow) has 60 spacious campsites and is located in a forested area about 500 feet from the reservoir. All campsites are first-come, first-serve and also spread out nicely throughout the campground.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Camp roads and parking spurs are paved. Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. A boat ramp, boat trailer lot and Hobart Creek are also next to the campground. Cell service is not available. Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host.
Spicer Reservoir Group Campground is about a mile away and also has 7 sites for groups up to 30 people per site. The group campground has drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection It also has a covered group cooking/eating area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Union Reservoir East, Union Reservoir West, Sandy Flat (Utica Reservoir), Rocky Point (Utica Reservoir) and Stanislaus River.
Spicer Reservoir offers low-speed boating (boat launch available) and excellent fishing. Other activities in the area include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
