Sundew Campground has 22 single-family campsites and is located next to beautiful Bucks Lake in the Plumas National Forest (Northern Sierra). Some of the campsites are lakefront. About 12 of the 21 campsites are usually held for first-come, first-serve camping during the summer. The rest are reservable.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Most sites can accommodate up to 2 vehicles and 8 people. Amenities include water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. Boat ramps are also available at Bucks Lake Marina and Bucks Lakeshore Resort.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. In the winter you can also enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Mill Creek, Hutchins Group, Lower Bucks, Haskins Valley and Whitehorse. Spanish Creek Campground is also further north.
