Sunset Campground has one of the few RV dump stations located 196 feet below see level and has approximately 270 campsites. The campground is basically a large, flat parking lot primarily for RV and trailer camping. You can also throw down a tent. There are no tables or fire pits/grills at the campsites, but the campground does have drinking water, flush toilets. It also has one of the few dump stations located at 196 feet below sea level. Sunset Campground is first-come first-serve and is within a mile of the Furnace Creek Ranch Resort and the Furnace Creek hotel.
Death Valley National park offers a variety of outdoor activity including photography, hiking, biking, sand sledding, wildlife viewing, and stargazing. There are also many historic sites and the many geological features throughout the park.
Furnace Creek and Texas Springs are also nearby.
