Sycamore Flats Overview

Sycamore Flats campground has 11 single-family campsites and is located in the Angeles National Forest on the backside of the San Gabriel Mountains. The campground is just off Big Rock Creek Road and about 1/2 mile from Big Rock Creek. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground has drinking water and vault toilets.

Sycamore Flats – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnicking and stargazing. Wildlife viewing is also great, with opportunities to see Big Horn sheep. There are also some good hiking/horseback riding trails along Big Rock Creek.

Other campgrounds in the area include South Fork and Big Rock. Saddleback Butte State Park is also about 20 miles away.
