Trailhead Group Overview
Trailhead Group Campground (also known as Saddlebag Lake Group) is next to scenic Saddlebag Lake and can accommodate up to 25 people.
The popular campground is just over 10,000 feet in elevation and has spectacular views of the lake and surrounding eastern high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Amenities include flush toilets. There is no piped water. The group site also has tables, fire rings and food storage (bear box) lockers. Cell service is not available in the area.
Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. It’s also within a 2 hour drive of Yosemite National Park and Mono Lake.
Saddlebag Lake Campground is also nearby and has 20 campsites available.
