Turlock Lake State Recreation Area Campground has 62 campsites and is located in the foothills of eastern Stanislaus County. The campground is a short drive or walk to Turlock Lake. Turlock River is also nearby and both offer some nice fishing.

Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers($) and a dump station. There’s also a campfire center that has ranger led programs during the summer. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Hike/bike campsites are also available.

Turlock Lake includes 3,500 surface acres and 26 miles of shoreline. Outdoor recreation activities include water sports/skiing, swimming, biking, hiking, picnicking, fishing and wildlife viewing.
