Upper Pine Grove Overview

Upper Pine Grove campground has 8 campsites along Rock Creek an an elevation of 8,900 feet. The campground is first come first served. It has drinking water and vault toilets. Each campsite also has a table, food locker, fire ring and grate.  The campsites are mostly small and cozy.

Upper Pine Grove – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes excellent Rainbow trout fishing along the creek, backpacking, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Rock Creek Lake is also up the road and offers some nice lake fishing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Big Meadow, Iris Meadow, Palisade, East Fork, Pine Grove and Rock Creek Lake. Rock Creek Lakes Resort is also nearby.
