Upper Stony Creek Overview
Upper Stony Creek campground has 24 single-family campsites (17 reservable) and is located about 14 miles southeast of Grant Grove in Sequoia National Forest. Three of the campsites (A, B and C) are walk-to (ranging from about 235 to 500 feet from the parking area). The walk-to sites are also next to the creek (easy access).
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Some sites only have single-car spurs. Each campsite also has a table, food locker, fire ring and grate.
Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Cell service is not available in the area. There’s also a picnic area nearby. Public showers, groceries, a restaurant and gasoline are also available about 1/2 mile away at the Stony Creek Resort.
Upper Stony Creek – Area Recreation
Hiking into the Jennie Lakes Wilderness and mountain biking outside the wilderness area are popular. Other activities include fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
