Van Duzen (Swimmers Delight) County Park Campground is located on the Eel River and among towering old-growth redwood trees. The campground has 37 single-family campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Electrical hookups are available (6 sites). The campground is a Humboldt County Park facility and is first-come, first-serve. As of 2023, the cost to camp is $30 per night and an additional $15 per electrical hookup.
Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($) and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate.
Outdoor recreation includes fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking and mountain biking. Wildlife viewing is also very nice in the area.
Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park is also in the area. It’s about 5 miles away and has 30 campsites available.
