Vermillion Campground has 31 single-family campsites and is located on the northwest shore of Edison Lake in the Sierra National Forest.
The campground is ideal for tents, as well as small RVs (up to 25 feet). Each campsite also has a picnic table, bear-proof food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Parking spurs are gravel. Some sites are sloped and not suitable for tent camping. Vault toilets are provided. Amenities include water, vault toilets and trash collection. Large RV’s not recommended on Kaiser Pass Road. Cell service is not available.
Other campgrounds in the area include Mono Creek, Mono Hot Springs and Rancheria.
Most of the recreation is centered around nearby Edison Lake where you can enjoy boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Other activities include taking a dip in the hot mineral springs, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.
