White Azalea Campground has 6 small campsites located next to the Mokelumne River in the Eldorado National Forest. All sites are first-come, first-serve and the campsites are not numbered.
The campground is usually open early June to mid-October. Amenities include vault toilets. Piped (drinking) water is not available, but you can filter water from the river. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, mountain biking, hiking, hunting, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also a few nice swim holes in the area.
Mokelumne River and Moore Creek campgrounds are also nearby.
